Christmas in California.

I've spent the last three Christmas' in England and this was the first year I've been back in California with my family. I have to say I would not trade being born and raised in California for anything! I am so proud of where I'm from and it is so much a part of who I am; the things I like to do, how I dress, etc.. Sure, its not as Christmas-y as some other places but hey! We've got some other perks- not too many places where you can surf on Christmas! P.S. I still can't get over the wedge sneaker miracle, just got some new ones for Christmas you will be seeing on here soon! Love them.

I always love black and white with a pop of color (see here and here) and in this case that pop is gold. Sorry to rub it in if your not in Los Angeles and can no longer wear a skirt, but if it makes you feel any better you might be able to see my goosebumps! Although I am one of those that always runs cold!! In case your wondering I am eating a Nutella Crepe (YUM! Eek probably shoulda got a food photo haha) That's another thing I always am- hungry! So in this case we shot while I ate (Thanks to my photographer for sparing me the shots where I am in the actual process of eating- never cute) If you recognize these Sam Edelman "Zoe" boots from a few years back, it's true. But I still love them! Especially how much taller they make me in a skirt!

I got this coat last year at Christmas and was so happy to finally wear it again! It's the most Christmas-y coat ever isn't it?! The OTK suede boots were a last minute purchase a few years ago from TopShop in London. Being petite it's hard to find over the knee boots that actually are over the knee and not waaaay too high (a la Julia Roberts) Sorry this outfit is all from last season so I wasn't able to find any of it online but I will do a collage with similar items soon! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Expect The Unexpected.

I love when things you don't normally think would go together just... do. The color of this sweater is more "rust" then it shows in the photos. And now we know "rust" and "mocha" do actually in fact go together. Oh yet another pair of printed jeans, I just can't get enough! I just can't get enough! On that note! A Little Sparkle.

So! Thought it might be fun to do something a little festive. Not gonna lie this may or may not be a sweater but I'm 5'1 (and a half!) so even though it's a little on the short side I feel like with tights it could work! Plus it's super comfy!! The pink collar adds some charm to it. Its always good to make sure your personality comes through in an outfit. Pink collar- so me.

K.I.S.S. stands for "Keep It Simple Silly"... I often feel the best outfits are the simplest! Sure, I will plan ahead for things just like any other girl obsessed with fashion- but do you ever notice that sometimes those grab and go outfits turn out to work better then outfit's that you thought out? It's like fashion fate! Sometimes the best thing to do is not over think it. Less is more.

Bun Head.

A lot of my favorite things included in this post; ballerina bun, denim jacket, RM bag, OTK socks... tickin' all the boxes! I chopped all my hair off last December (like really... haha) and it's finally long enough to get back into a bun, which is so nice and easy breezy! Welcome to the Jungle.

Pinky's up! Never noticed I did that when I was on the phone. Pretty funny. Anyway.... when I was styling we had a client who was all about the velvet- this was a few years ago and we were hard pressed to find this girl some velvet!! Well, she was ahead of her time- velvet has officially made it's come back and these lush, wine colored skinnies fit the bill. As you've probably come to know my love for leopard is undying and this comfy cardi is purrrrfect. Alright I need to settle down with the rhymes here. Exciting news! Going into production for my line (Mint) this week! So I've been a bit crazed! But so so excited! Stay tuned friends.
