Who doesn't love a baggy tee and combat boots? The detail flower graphic on these black skinnies add that little sumthin' sumthin' extra. Is everyone obsessed with this mirror graphic trend happening? Can't just be me! I have to tell you I had a major "Alice in Wonderland" moment this week- I am on the petite side.. and have a hard time finding clothes that fit! I know no matter what size you are; tall, short, curvy, apple, pear.. finding things that fit can be equally as frustrating for everyone sometimes. I am usually a HUGE advocate of things fitting properly but on this particular day I threw on a big tee, baggy jeans and just said f*ck it. Hehe.

One of my favorite trends as of late are all over prints- this dress reminds me of "The Sound Of Music" but in the most fabulous way. "Nobody solves a problem like Maria..." (now stuck in your head all day, your welcome :)) I love the classic silhouette and fun detail on the sleeve. I added these pointed cap toe pumps- a great nude shoe with an edgy, chic detail. My new favorite thing to do is mix classic and modern, I find myself trying it more and more. So fun. Also fun... Lovers + Friends x Because I'm Addicted.

Last night I attended the "Lovers + Friends" x "Because I'm Addicted" event to celebrate the launch of their Spring 2013 collaboration. Flirty skirts, stylish staples and fresh spring stripes peppered the collection. Here are a few of my favorite pieces below and how I would.. I mean will style them once they are mine! Muhahahaha.

The "Downtown" dress couldn't be more suitable for Spring. I love the subtle detail slit at the waist. I would pair this with some bright coral heels to show off that tan (you will soon acquire) and also bring out the beautiful colors in the print. 

      

I love the drop waist and soft pleats on the "Sophistication" dress. I think adding a modern heel to this classic silhouette creates a cool juxtaposition. Add a gold clutch and your good to go. 

White faux leather peplum- I am IN. I would pair the "Je Ne Sais Quoi" top with some royal blue cigarette trousers and a statement necklace like this gold peter pan shape.

How "Clueless" inspired is this ensemble? Doesn't this totally look like something Cher would wear if peplums were in in the 90s! I was a little scared of this top in the store but as I encourage you all to take risks I decided to go for it. Although the print is a bit "Wild and Crazy Kids" it's so fun to wear! And very Cher. I have to admit I wanted to BE Cher growing up. Interesting idol right? I guess that's what I get for growing up in LA! I wanted the Jeep. I wanted the hair. I wanted her closet! 

Speaking of Cher's closet this would be a good time to mention I am featured on this awesome site called Stylitics. It's similar to Cher's virtual closet actually! You find items online that you already have in your closet and add them.. it automatically organizes them into categories and you can make outfits and wishlists. There's a reason why interior designers and stylists have a lot in common- putting an outfit together can be very similar to putting together a room. There's a lot that goes into both things: there has to be a balance, an overall aesthetic, a great mix. Whether it be the right furniture with the right art or the right bag with the right scarf, don't be afraid to take risks! And just like interior decorating the best way to find something that works is to try- add, take away, swap... you never know what you might come up with! Enjoy your Sunday!
