100 Happy Days.

Do you think you can be happy for 100 days straight? I have a few friends participating in this awesome idea- 100 Happy Days Challenge. Basically via your favorite social media outlet (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) you post a pic everyday and caption it with something or someone your grateful for! Simple as that! Why? The reason behind this idea is that gratitude equals happiness. Did you know practicing gratitude lowers your blood pressure, enhances your sleep, and can even help you lose weight?!

Sanctuary: Surplus Girl.

 

Super fun hanging with the crew of Sanctuary and playing dress up in their new Spring line! Camo prints, comfy sweaters, utility pants... I'm all about it. Sanctuary is a brand that never disappoints, constantly turning out collection after collection of stand out pieces perfect for date nights, meetings and concerts but also essentials for everyday. I was so stoked to be a part of their new campaign featuring the 4 different types of "Sanctuary Girl" - I loved the "Surplus Girl" borrowed from the boys, mix and match style, which very much fit with my own personal style! My Favorite Gift.

A few weeks ago I mentioned a beautiful young girl I know named Darcie, who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and is courageously undergoing treatment. The generous folks at Stella & Dot have agreed to give a portion of proceeds from this site to Darcie's treatment. My favorite piece on the site is the arrow necklace I am wearing in the photo above- I can't take it off and I often use it on the webseries (Emma Approved) I style. It's my absolute favorite, number 1 choice for a holiday gift! It's not too late to grab one for someone special, be sure to tell them it contributed to a great cause.

Plum.

New obsession: plum. Sure, maybe it is just a fancy pants word for purple- but it rolls off the tongue just right doesn't it? I paired this navy and plum colored moto-esq jacket over a simple white tee. I went matchy matchy by throwing on these waxed denim pants, also in plum* (there I go again with the plum...) My fave go-with-absolutely-everything black SE boots complete the look.

I also wanted to mention this arrow necklace I haven't been able to take off! The wonderful people at Stella & Dot have actually done an amazing thing which I wanted to share with you guys. My friend Darcie, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and Stella & Dot have put together this online trunk show in which some of the proceeds go towards Darcie's treatment. This super cute necklace included! Check it all out here. Special thanks to Stella & Dot for making that possible. The trunk show is on for the next 3 weeks so please share with your friends and family! Fantastic holiday gifts!! Great cause.

I wanted to share my favorite look thus far for the web-series I'm styling, Emma Approved.  I am obsessed with this white structured blazer and it's awesome tribal detail from our friends at Lulu's. I paired it with a navy button down to accentuate the blue stitching and make the white pop. Following with this PJ trend (the gift that keeps on giving) these super comfy pink trousers juxtapose the structured top and keep the look effortless and fresh. Happy hump day friends! Fall slowly creeping in here! For someone like me, who is too hot with a jacket and too cold without a jacket- layers are the best way to go. I love mixing textures and I've found leather bottoms (wether it be leather shorts, pants or skirt) always look great with a sweater- something about the sexy leather with the snuggly knit- I am a fan. Debut of my new fave booties! I adore the cut outs and the ankle strap detail is too cute! Plus they are comfy! I love how that is an extra now- when did all shoes become uncomfortable? Somewhere around when I started wearing heels I guess. Hope your weeks going well!

Finally got to snap a few shots in my new favorite dress! If you follow me on instagram you have probably seen me wearing this dress non-stop. You know how when you get something new that happens? Until you get something else and it falls out of favor then your wearing that all the time! These boots are one of my favorite things about Fall. They were a last minute purchase in London and I am guessing I will have them forever. Luckily for me over- the- knee boots are staying in style!
