Tuneage Tuesday: Rilo Kiley.

I had the pleasure of seeing this lovely lady, Jenny Lewis (former lead singer of Rilo Kiley) perform live last week at intimate venue Havard & Stone for the Harlyn Fashion Show. It was pretty radical. I dedicate this post to my bestie, Megan as she is the true fan. As we played this song on our drive home I was listening to the lyrics and realizing how it just... it just.... it sums it up!! If you don't know the song, listen- you will get what I mean. Nailed It: Halloween Edition.

Confession: I hate Halloween. I'm a total scaredy cat and I think I've seen "Hocus Pocus" one to many times. "Come little children, I'll take thee away.." Remember that song? SJP? Anyway! Leaving out that fact- I can still share some Halloween love. SO here are some fun Halloween nails to get you inspired and excited for Halloween!

Pajama Party.

Remember in Jr. High when wearing pajama pants to school was a trend? Or was that just my school? Well either way, it's back. To be honest, I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. Depends what extreme it's taken to I suppose (see: Rihanna sporting her PJ's here) I'm all for comfort. All for it. But pajamas? Kinda makes me feel sleepy all day! Check out some subtle takes on the trend below.

Tuneage Tuesday: Terraplane Sun.

The tune for today comes from my buddies in Terraplane Sun. A few months ago the lead singer, Ben gave me a sneak peek at some tracks on their new EP "Friends" which is out now! (Acoustic version of title track here.) You may recognise the sweet sounds of this Venice, CA based band from several TV shows, commercials and movies- they are killing it! Beanie Babies.

It finally feels like Fall today in LA. My favorite thing about Fall? Beanies! I just love em. You don't have to do your hair, your cozy, comfy, warm- plus you look stylish.. they are just the best things ever! If you know me you know my personal favorite beanie is red, which I usually pair with sunglasses- as demonstrated by these lovely ladies. Red is the perfect pop of color, although I am definitley looking into investing in some new colors this season. Black and white, kinda essential.

Tuneage Tuesday: Ellie Goulding.

Ellie Goulding first came on my radar a few years ago while I was living in England. She was the first chick I saw in recent years with half her head shaved and pink locks. She has an incredibly haunting voice and an interesting sound. Finally she has made her way across the pond, as they say, and although sometimes love for an artist starts to fade as they lose their indie cred and gain popularity- I'm still riding Miss Ellie's train and I'm really into her new single "Anything Could Happen." Enjoy having this stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

And don't forget its only Tuesday! The week's just begun- anything could happen! (I'm a cheese ball) Could happen? Or would it be can happen? Oh well.

No Bones About It.

Just in time for Halloween I'm really digging (see what I did there ;) this creepy bone trend. My favorite is the gold cuff from nOir Jewelry (featured center and bottom right corner) Wouldn't it be nice if people gave away jewelry on Halloween instead of candy? A little far fetched I know. What can I say? I'm a dreamer. 

It's kind of a challenge actually finding these guys for purchase online (everything is sold out!) but you can check out the gold cuff here on back-order and a less expensive take on the trend here. Can't get enough? Find some heart stopping (sorry... I can't help myself!!) pieces here.

Pumped Up Kicks.

I am obviously not the only one still feelin' this wedge sneaker trend. They are everywhere! I've heard that sneakers are addicting... I've seen rappers closets on "Cribs"- but I have to admit I never really caught that sneaker bug until now. I could literally have a pair of wedge sneakers in every color. If I must narrow it down... here are my three faves:

1. Ash Cool Wedge Hi Top Trainer- I mean. Pink + Wedge sneaker. These are the cutest things ever. Also love the leather detail. Jeans, white tee- your good to go. Just realized these match my RM bag perfectly!! Excuses, excuses...

2. Isabel Marant Bekket High Top- Isabel Marant is the one who has really taken this trend to the next level. Every color imaginable- they have available. From these mellow navy and white to bright gold, to sleek black to sassy lipstick red. One of each?

3. Nike Dunk Sky Hi Wedge- Nike. Still in the game with these wedge dunks. Love this "Bamboo" color. Plus they are Nike! Classic. Even when these eventually fade out keep em' and your daughter can wear them one day, or sell them on ebay.
