In honor of election day I chose one of my favorite songs, "America" by Simon & Garfunkel.  Making the decision to not get too political on here but I hope you all get out there and make an educated vote today!

Tuneage Tuesday: Rilo Kiley.

I had the pleasure of seeing this lovely lady, Jenny Lewis (former lead singer of Rilo Kiley) perform live last week at intimate venue Havard & Stone for the Harlyn Fashion Show. It was pretty radical. I dedicate this post to my bestie, Megan as she is the true fan. As we played this song on our drive home I was listening to the lyrics and realizing how it just... it just.... it sums it up!! If you don't know the song, listen- you will get what I mean. She is pretty brilliant. Check out "Potions for Foxes" below and a pic from the show too!

Tuneage Tuesday: Terraplane Sun.

The tune for today comes from my buddies in Terraplane Sun. A few months ago the lead singer, Ben gave me a sneak peek at some tracks on their new EP "Friends" which is out now! (Acoustic version of title track here.) You may recognise the sweet sounds of this Venice, CA based band from several TV shows, commercials and movies- they are killing it! Tuneage Tuesday: Ellie Goulding.

Ellie Goulding first came on my radar a few years ago while I was living in England. She was the first chick I saw in recent years with half her head shaved and pink locks. She has an incredibly haunting voice and an interesting sound. Finally she has made her way across the pond, as they say, and although sometimes love for an artist starts to fade as they lose their indie cred and gain popularity- I'm still riding Miss Ellie's train and I'm really into her new single "Anything Could Happen." Enjoy having this stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

And don't forget its only Tuesday! The week's just begun- anything could happen! (I'm a cheese ball) Could happen? Or would it be can happen? Oh well.
