Blue Crush.

Dress: Mint "Do the Twist" Dress | Booties: Sam Edelman | Cuff: Gorjana & Griffin | Rings: Rockabella Jewels.

One of the fun things about being a designer is wearing your own pieces. I mean, let's be honest the reason I became a designer was because  I needed more clothes! Just kidding... kind of. Yesterday I wore the Mint "Do The Twist" dress in Seafoam. This dress is tee shirt material, which makes it pretty hard to take off. I layer it with sweaters over, or even skirts on top and turn it in to a tank! It was fun to pair it with these Sam Edelman booties- the aztec detail on the heel doesn't quite "match" but it works it that weird "fashioney" way. You know? Finding colors that go don't normally go together but they really do go together, like light blue and rust... I live for this stuff.

Happy August!

Hard Candy.

I just want to eat this bag!! It reminds me of like a cherry candy or something! This tank is like the sister to my "lips dress" (seen here) something about kiss prints, so fun and flirty! The wall behind me actually has a really interesting story behind it. The singer Elliot Smith shot the cover for his album Figure 8 here. Fans come from far and wide to pay tribute and write messages to the late singer. It's a sad story but the vibe of the place is so happy, a reminder that we are all connected and how much one person can touch so many people. It's really beautiful when you think about it. Happy Wednesday!

Made in CA.

Sweater: Free People similar here | Shorts: Arc & Co. | Sneakers: Nike | Bag: Lancaster Paris

This was such a beautiful day. I thank my lucky stars that I was born and raised in California. It's such a massive part of who I am, my family and our history. These photos were taken at the newly re-opened Echo Park Lake. My Grandparents had a house close to there in the 40's!! My Nike Wedge Dunks are still my faves, paired with a cozy sweater and shorts, this outfit was perfect for strolling and hanging at the lake! If you live in LA or are visiting it's definitely an awesome place to spend the day!!

Speaking of a great way to spend the day- Mint will be at UNIQUE LA this weekend! Sharing booth #112 with our friends Kovey! I would absolutely love to see you there! If you haven't been to a Unique LA event before they are so fun! All made in the USA brands: clothing, jewelry, art and FOOD!
Come by and say hi!!
Off to set up our booth!

Fresh.

Shirt: Cherokee similar here | Shorts: Harlyn | Bag: Lancaster Paris | Sunnies: RetroSuperFuture |
Sandals: Similar Here.

Sometimes I get asked to define my style. Which I can't do. I love clothes so much, I just can't commit! Obviously the way you start to put things together it all becomes "you"- every different side of you!
I love ripped jeans and a tee shirt, but I also love clean and sophisticated. This look was so light and easy breezy. I am clearly obsessed with these "tap shorts" from one of my favorite brands, Harlyn. They come in several colors (also seen on me here) A white men's- or in my case boy's, shirt is such an essential item in your wardrobe! Don't be scared! Do it, do it... With shorts tied up, a high waisted skirt tucked in or even over a bathing suit! It's sexy, classy and shows some personality. I dig them and I know you will too!! Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Howdy Partner.

Top: Lush | Jeans: Flying Monkey | Bag: Similar Here | Wedges: Dolce Vita

I could eat fish tacos every single day. I can't get enough of them. We found this gem (Tacos Delta) in Silverlake, soooo goood. My outfit kinda fit right in- love when that happens! I still have an obsession with jeans: plain, printed, colored... all good. This outfit is a bit matchy matchy, but you know how I feel about that- I like it! Haha. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

Get Smart.

Blazer: Silence & Noise | Top: ASTR | Jeans: Articles of Society | Wedges: Dolce Vita (similar here) | Initial Ring: Gorjana &Griffin | Stack Rings: Rockabella Jewels.

Nothing says business like a blazer. It's the perfect solution to any outfit when your wanting to look pulled together and on top of it. Blazer it up baby. I love my black blazer so much that I've bought the same one multiple times and I also have it in red (as seen here) More of this chartreuse color- I love popping it in to outfits and adds a bit of fun to this look. The clutch was gift from Italy and I am obsessed with the deep royal blue color and tassels! Who doesn't love tassels?!
